Trésor Films & Pathé have released the official soundtrack album for the French family comedy Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom (Astérix & Obélix: L’Empire du Milieu). The album features the film’s original music composed by -M- (aka Matthieu Chedid) (Tell No One, A Monster in Paris, Yao, Rosy, Faces Places, Baby Bump(s)) who also appears in the movie as Remix. Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom is directed by Guillaume Canet and stars himself (in the title role of Astérix), Gilles Lellouche (as Obélix), as well as Vincent Cassel, Jonathan Cohen, Marion Cotillard, Julie Chen, Leanna Chea, José Garcia, Manu Payet, Ramzy Bedia, Bun-Hay Mean, Linh-Dan Pham, Tran Vu Tran, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Pierre Richard, Philippe Katerine and Jérôme Commandeur. The movie based on the comic books created by René Goscinny & Albert Uderzo is being released in French theaters today.
