The film directed by Luis Felipe Fernández-Salvador y Campodonico (A Son of Man) is set in the Galapagos Islands and centers on a young sea lion who struggles to fend for himself in the face of food scarcity after losing his mother while fleeing from a group of fishermen and sets out to find a new sanctuary. Becker also serves as the project’s sound designer. Adam Leipzig (A Plastic Ocean, The Call of Wild) is producing the movie. Becker & Sirjacq have previously co-scored Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire’s thriller Asphalt City (starring Sean Penn & Tye Sheridan), which premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival (under the title Black Flies) and has recently been picked up by Roadside Attractions for a domestic release in theaters on May 29.
