Will Bates Scoring Michael Mohan’s ‘Immaculate’

Composer Will Bates (The Magicians, Dumb Money, Unbelievable, Away,  I OriginsThe Path, The Looming Tower, Bliss) is reuniting with director Michael Mohan (Everything Sucks!, Save the Date) on the upcoming psychological horror movie Immaculate. The film stars Sydney Sweeney as a woman of devout faith who is offered a new role at an illustrious convent in Italy, where she discovers her new home harbors some dark and horrifying secrets. Simona Tabasco, Benedetta Porcaroli, Alvaro Morte and Dora Romano are co-starring. Andrew Lobel wrote the screenplay. Sweeney is also producing the project with Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman (The Imitation Game, Nyad) and Michael Heimler (I Care a Lot, Somebody I Used to Know), Middle Child Pictures’ David Bernad (The White Lotus, White House Plumbers), as well as Fifty-Fifty Films’ Jonathan Davino. Bates has previously collaborated with Mohan on the director’s last feature, The Voyeurs. Immaculate will be released in theaters on March 22, 2024 by Neon.

Bates is also expected to return to score the second season of AMC’s Mayfair Witches. He also recently scored Larry Fassenden’s horror feature Blackout, which premiered at last year’s Fantasia Film Festival and has been picked up Dark Sky Films for a release this year.
