Disney announced at this weekend’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, California that singer/songwriter Julia Michaels will compose the original songs for the upcoming animated musical Wish. The film directed by Chris Buck (Frozen, Tarzan) & Fawn Veerasunthorn stars Ariana DeBose and explores how the iconic wishing star came to be. Peter Del Vecho (The Princess and the Frog, Raya and the Last Dragon) & Juan Pablo Reyes are producing the Walt Disney Animation Studios production. DeBose performed a first song (More for Us) at D23. Check out the performance below. Wish will be released in theaters nationwide in November, 2023 by Walt Disney Pictures.
