22D Music has released a soundtrack album for the French fantasy drama The Five Circles (Les cinq diables). The album features the film’s original music composed by Florencia di Concilio (Calamity, a Childhood of Martha Jane Cannary, Ava, Dark Blood, Just Kids). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. The Five Circles is co-written and directed by Léa Mysius and stars Adèle Exarchopoulos, Sally Drame, Swala Emati, Moustapha Mbengue, Patrick Bouchitey and Daphné Patakia. The movie centers on a strange and solitary girl with a magical gift who can reproduce any scent she likes and collects them in a series of carefully labelled jars. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Directors’ Fortnight and is being released in French theaters today. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
