Peter Nashel (Book Club, Marco Polo, The Night Listener, Totally Under Control, Bee Season) is scoring the upcoming Hulu limited series Mike. The show is created by Steven Rogers (I, Tonya, Stepmom) and stars Trevante Rhodes in the title role, alongside and Russell Hornsby, Harvey Keitel, Laura Harrier, Olunike Adeliyi, Li Eubanks and B.J. Minor. The 8-part drama tells the story of the dynamic and controversial life of boxing icon Mike Tyson and explores the tumultuous ups and downs of his boxing career and personal life – from being a beloved global athlete to a pariah and back again. Rogers and Rhodes are also executive producing the 20th Television production with showrunner Karin Gist (Star, Our Kind of People), Claire Brown, director Craig Gillespie (Cruella, Lars and the Real Girl), Clubhouse Pictures’ Bryan Unkeless (Birds of Prey, Dollface) and Scott Morgan, LuckyChap’s Margot Robbie & Tom Ackerley (Promising Young Woman, Maid), Entertainment 360’s Darin Friedman, as well as Anthony Hemingway (Red Tails, Underground), Anthony Sparks (Queen Sugar) and Samantha Corbin-Miller (Swagger, Absentia). Nashel has previously scored the Gillespie-directed and Rogers-scripted/-produced feature I, Tonya for Clubhouse & LuckyChap. Mike will premiere on August 25, 2022 exclusively on Hulu.
